The International Queer Group – Camping in Kalvebod Fælled

The International Queer Group invites you to an overnight camping trip in Kalvebod Fælled, at he Viben Pineskoven campground (link: https://udinaturen.dk/facilitet/primitiv-overnatningsplads/?id=8D2F4580-EE9F-490A-A788-C4FDE53725E7 ). A night in nature, away from the city.
We’ll gather around a fire, take in the surroundings, play some games, and spend an unhurried evening and morning together. We will provide a vegan dinner and breakfast cooked over the campfire. No prior camping experience necessary, we’ll handle the basics so you don’t have to think too hard about it. The campground includes sleeping shelters, potable water, and an outhouse, and is just a 20 minute bike ride from Vestamager metro station, so it’s a great introduction to camping for any first timers.
There is also a parking lot nearby. Please note that the site is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchair users.
What to bring yourself:
  • Warm layers for night
  • Snacks for yourself (a vegan dinner and breakfast will be provided)
  • Comfortable, closed shoes suitable for uneven ground
  • Torch or headlamp
  • Insect repellent
  • Any personal medication you might need
  • A reusable cup or mug
We will be providing all other necessities (toilet paper, first aid kit, cooking utensils, water, dinner and breakfast etc.).
You are also welcome to just come for the evening to enjoy the campfire fun and then go home to sleep if you do not want to spend the night!
